who we are: biographies

Charles Collie

Managing Director

Charles’ career has been a multi-faceted, around the globe journey, working in consulting, branding, marketing, government and politics. Charles’ client list includes Fortune 500 companies, Federal, State and Local governments, associations, churches and nonprofits.  A particular focus of his work has been design studios, advertising agencies, new media companies, public relations firms, and direct marketing firms.  In fact, Charles has worked with 13 of the top 15 advertising agencies in the U.S.

Charles has spent the last 15 years helping organizations re-shape themselves to create a positive future. Asking the right questions to get at the heart of an organization’s growth issues, Charles helps organizations live their purpose by creating a brand focused culture that is ingrained in every aspect of its operations.  Over the last couple of years, helping organizations use social media to communicate and create community around their brand has become one of his specialties.

Charles has written blog posts, white papers and published articles in the fields of branding, strategy, creativity, leadership, ethics, communications, social media, personality identification, client service and business development.  Compelled to help improve our community, Charles currently serves on the boards of C3, Needle’s Eye and the Wilson Center for Leadership at Hampden-Sydney College.

Charles also presents keynote addresses and workshops for management conferences, major association conventions and other local & regional events.  However, his most challenging (and rewarding) work to date has been teaching 6th grade Sunday School.

Charles spends much of his sparetime tweeting, updating his facebook page and posting blogs about the things that interest him, namely his work, his family and deep thoughts about living life to its fullest.  In addition, Charles is a basketball junkie, coaches youth sports and recently bowled a 298 (on the Wii).
